Take Better Baseball Pictures

For several years I taught a class on youth baseball and softball photography for parents. Here’s a transcript of that class that may be of interest to those who want to take better pictures of their athletes. It’s long, so buckle up!

I had planned to videotape the class on video until I came across this one by the outstanding baseball photographer, Jean Fruth. She journeyed from shooting her kid’s little league team to covering MLB and now serves as the official photographer for the Hall of Fame. It’s truly a master class on making better baseball pictures. And she is far more articulate and charming on camera than I can ever hope to be. Enjoy the best one-hour class on baseball photography you will ever watch.

Short on time? Waiting between games of a doubleheader? Here are five quick tips from Jean.

As always, I am happy to answer any baseball or softball photography-related questions you may have, Play Ball!
